Naples

Naples is such a weird and wonderful place. It's so different to any other place I have been in Italy, for all the best reasons.

Naples is a city of culture, family, history, and amazing Italian food.

I feel like Naples gives you an authentic Italian experience. The people are all locals, there are less tourists and the food is straight from the heart [and into my belly!]

It is not as affluent as Rome, Como and Florence, but it has so much grit and passion that it's really fucking hard not to love Naples.

We also used it as a base to visit Pompeii and Mt Vesuvius, and I suggest you do too.

The biggest win of the trip to Naples however would be an Aperol Spritz costing €1, and the best Pasta alla Genovese I think I will ever eat.
