Best parks in London
Considering it is a city full of skyscrapers, landmark buildings and 4 airports, London does have a remarkable amount of Green Space, and is home to many really cool parks!
Here are some of the best parks to visit in my opinion.
1. Primrose Hill
Primrose Hill Rd, London NW1 4NR
I take everyone that visits me in London to Primrose Hill.
It has insane views of the city skyline and is perfect for a sunrise walk, afternoon picnic or sunset spot with a few beers.
Its stunning views are worth the short but steep incline, and even on a busy day, it never feels too crowded.
This is located inside Regent’s Park and so once you’re done climbing the hill, go and check out the rest of the Park, and even London Zoo!
The surrounding areas are also worth checking out whilst you're in the neck of the woods, and so make sure you add Primrose Hill on your list to visit!

2. Hampstead Heath
Hampstead Heath is the perfect place to spend the day as it really does have it all! It’s got great views of the city, plenty of walking routes, and it even has its own swimming ponds for those feeling brave enough!
It’s also smack bang in the middle of the beautiful Hampstead, and so once you’re done visiting the park you can go and grab a pint or some lunch at one of the very cute spots in the borough.
Wandering through the park, you would have no idea that you’re still very much in the city, and so it’s very ideal if you don’t want to travel too far in order to find a relaxing park.
3. Richmond Park
Richmond Park, Richmond upon Thames, TW10 5HS
Now depending on where you live or are staying, Richmond Park might be a little out of the way for you. However, it is well worth the trip out to Richmond to visit the largest royal park in London - it covers 2,500 acres!
Not only is it great for cycling, walking and escaping the city, Richmond Park is also home to a Deer Park with over 600 Deers roaming free throughout! Be careful not to get too close, however they are very cute!
4. Greenwich Park
Staying South of the River Thames, we have Greenwich Park!
This park also has stunning views of the skyline including the Sky Garden, the Shard and the Gherkin [yes, they are all buildings!]
You can also stand on the exact reference point for GMT - Greenwich Mean Time!
Greenwich Park is home to an observation deck, Maritime World Heritage Site and Rose Garden, and whilst you’re there go and take the Emirates Cable Car for some aerial views of London!
5. Hyde Park
Arguably one of the more well-known parks in London is Hyde Park. Hyde Park hosts many concerts, festivals and celebrations, and even Winter Wonderland each Winter.
As Hyde Park is close to Buckingham Palace and the Royal Albert Hall, it comes as no surprise that there are multiple Royal memorials inside the Park, including tributes to Princess Diana, Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.
It’s also home to the Serpentine Gallery for those interested in Art, and some beautiful gardens to explore.
Be sure you check out the surrounding areas of Knightsbridge, Kensington and Mayfair!
