Top sights in Paris

V Adventures

Paris has TONNES to offer in the way of sightseeing. You could easily spend a week here and not even scratch the surface. However for those of us who do not have a week to spend in Paris, here are the heavy hitters that you must tick off when you visit, regardless of how long you go for.

1. Disneyland

I don’t care what age you are. If you have 3 nights or more in Paris, you should go and spend a day at Disneyland. Coming from someone who has been both as a kid and an adult, I honestly think I had a better time as an adult! There’s magic, roller coasters, characters, parades, and a whole lot of fun! You can even stay at one of the resorts if you really want to experience it all!

2. Moulin Rouge

Was it great? Yes. Is it worth the hype? Yes. Would I go again? No. Not because it wasn’t a 10/10 experience - it absolutely was! But it’s A LOT of money to do twice. I would certainly recommend doing it as the dancers are incredible and it is such a cool experience. I mean, it’s the fucking Moulin Rouge after all. It might not seem worth it to buy your booze in advance when you buy your tickets, but do consider it as drinks are stiff inside [I mean, what would you expect?].

3. Eiffel Tower

One of the most recognisable buildings in all of the land! There are a few ways to experience the Eiffel Tower, with the first obviously being to go and take a photo of it from nearby. The second is to go and grab some French wine, some baguettes and croissants and have a picnic in the green space below the tower. It’s a great area to sit for the afternoon and take it all in. The third is to buy a ticket and actually go up the tower, where you will of course get a cracking 360 view of Paris!

4. Sacre-Coeur

Another place you can get incredible views of Paris is at the Sacre-Coeur. The Basilica is on the top of a hill, and so once you’re at the top you have panoramic views of the French capital. The Sacre-Coeur is also a stunning building in itself, and so be sure have a look inside.

5. Arc de Triomphe

This is another iconic monument in Paris, and another that you can climb up to get views of Paris! Climbing the 250 steps to the top of the Arc de Triomphe will give you views of the Champs Elysees and the rest of the city. It’s also very centrally located, so add this to your sight seeing tour.

6. Champs Elysees

This street is on a par with 5th Avenue and Oxford St in terms of its level of fame, and at nearly 2km long is on par with London’s busiest street! I’m not saying to go and walk the whole length, but whilst you’re at the Arc de Triomphe, you may as well take a bit of a stroll!

7. Louvre

Home to the Mona Lisa, the Louvre is actually the world’s most visited museum. Meaning that if it’s on your list of places to visit, keep in mind it’s on everyone else’s too! Go first thing to avoid peak traffic, and be prepared to spend the whole day there if you are happy to just wander - there is so much to see!
