Top sights in Zurich

Updated: Jan 10, 2023

Zurich was full of surprises! I'd highly recommend visiting at Christmas time to experience the endless Christmas Markets, killer food and festive vibes!

1. FIFA Museum

If you don’t already know, I am a huge football fan and will jump at the chance to do anything football related whenever I go away! Now Zurich is actually home to the FIFA World Headquarters, and therefore has a whole FIFA Museum to explore! You’ll find the World Cup in there, you can play games, and even watch a game of football over dinner!

2. Opera House

The Zurich Opera House is home to Opera, Ballet and live music concerts! You can either take a tour around the venue or watch a performance here, either way you’ll leave impressed.

3. Lake Zurich

Who doesn’t love a good water feature! Head down the Bahnofstrasse until you hit the water to find Lake Zurich. In summer, rent a boat and go out on the water for the afternoon!

4. Bahnhofstrasse

This is Zurich’s main street and shopping district. You can find all of the high-end fashion and jewellery stores, making it one of the world’s most expensive streets! Even if you don’t have cash to burn, it’s still cool to walk down!
